KUALA LUMPUR, June 7 (Bernama) -- National elite kegler, Sin Li Jane put up an astonishing performance to win the Singapore International Open crown in the tournament held at the Orchid Bowl in Singapore, Saturday.
The recently crowned Euro-Med Storm Masters kegler who led the Round 1 finals yesterday, finished in second place behind the hosts' Shayna Ng in today's Round 2 finals to advance into the stepladder finals of the women's Masters category.
Li Jane, who is also two-time winner of the tournament, sailed past third-seed, Kristin Quah of Singapore and fourth-seed, Lara Posadas of Philippines with a 247-213-184 victory in the first match, according to the Asian Bowling Federation (ABF)'s website;www.abf-online.org, today.
The 22-year old Perak-born forced top seed Ng into a sudden-death decider after winning the first game 258-235 before walking away as the champion after securing a 223-221 victory in the second game.
Li Jane who had won the tournament for the first time in 2010, pocketed S$6,000 (RM15,396) as champion while Ng brought home S$3,000 (RM7,698). Quah and Posadas earned S$1,500 (RM3,849) and S$1,000 (RM2,566), respectively.....
