KUALA LUMPUR, June 6 (Bernama) -- National elite kegler Si Li Jane, 22, showed her prowess to claim top position in the Women's Masters Finals Round 1 of the 47th Singapore International Open 2014 held at Orchid Bowl in Singapore on Friday.
The Perak lass who is also the defending champion scorched the lanes with scores of 192, 276, 220, 256, 204, 226, 248 and 254 for a total of 1,876 pinfalls in the eight frame games, the Malaysian Tenpin Bowling Congress (MTBC) said in a statement.
Joining her in the Round 2 tomorrow are seasoned campaigner Shalin Zulkifli and Sharon Koh who finished in seventh and eighth place after knocking down 1,674 and 1,661 pinfalls respectively.
Three Malaysian players -- Alisha Iman Cheong (1,609), Natasha Roslan (1,520) and Esther Cheah (1,458) failed to make the cut into the top 12 for tomorrow's games after they finished in 13th, 20th and 23rd position.
The top 12 women will be joined by the three host players and three overseas seeded qualifiers for tomorrow's games whereby the top four from the games will advance to the step ladder finals two days later.....
