KUALA LUMPUR, June 5 (Bernama) -- Bank Internasional Indonesia (BII) expect 5,000 runners from all over the world to take part in the BII Maybank Bali Marathon on Sept 14 in Bali, Indonesia.
BII director-general Taswin Zakaria said last year the marathon had attracted 3,000 participants from 42 countries, including from Europe, United States, Australia, Kenya and 305 from Malaysia.
Taswin said the marathon was being organised for the third year, was inaugurated in 2012 and attracted 2,000 participants while 3,000 participants took part in 2013.
He said the unique feature about the BII Maybank Bali Marathon was the scenery throughout the marathon route which features traditional and exotic districts in Bali.
The event will feature a full marathon (42.195km) and a half marathon (21km) plus a 10km relay run through Gianyar, Bali.....
