KUALA LUMPUR, June 1 (Bernama) -- Superbike World Championship (SBK) defending champion Tom Sykes of Britain is looking forward to start his battle at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC) and is hoping Malaysia brings luck to him.
Sykes, 28, who represents Kawasaki Racing Team and is in the overall lead after collecting 185 points after five rounds with the last at Donington Park, England on May 25, said he was excited to perform at the SIC this weekend and is hoping he will win.
Close on his heels is fellow countryman Jonathan Rea of the Pata Honda World Superbike Team who has amassed 159 points.
"I'm very excited actually because I know SIC is very a big circuit . I hope I can win this sixth round here and I am really hoping Malaysia brings luck to me.
"I received a warm welcome by Malaysians and it made me really happy and is a big boost for me," Sykes old reporters after making his superbike demo at Dataran Merdeka here, Sunday.....
