KANGAR, May 29 (Bernama) -- The sixth day of the 17th Malaysia Games (Sukma) saw four Sukma festival records renewed, but it was slightly marred by the incident of the torn roof of the Swimming Complex at the Tuanku Syed Putra Sports Complex.

The smooth-running of the event was a bit tarnished by the incident which was caused by a heavy downpour and strong winds.

The roof of the complex started to tear during the diving event at the diving pool after rain came down for 10 minutes and a notice of the closure of the pool was displayed on the scoreboard at 2.20pm Thursday.

Soon after, the diving event, which was ongoing, had to be stopped but continued half and hour later as soon as the rain and strong winds stopped.

Meanwhile, the four new Sukma records were through two archery events and one each in swimming and athletics.....
