Sukma: Christina Loh Breaks Meet Record In 100m Breast Stroke

KANGAR, May 29 (Bernama) - National elite swimmer Christina Loh Yen Ling set a new record of 1 minute 12.23 seconds in the women's 100m breast stroke at the 17th Malaysia Games (Sukma) at the Kangar Swimming Complex here, Thursday.

Loh erased the old record of 01:12.41s.

"I am happy to win the gold medal at this Sukma although all of us were forced to face difficulties to train.

"There were too many problems and drama at this Sukma, with the postponement of the event date and only just now the canvas roof tore off, but they did not affect oru concentration," she told reporters after the prize presentation ceremony.

Loh reaped gold after beating Selangor's Phee Jing En who came second in 1:13.03s while bronze went to Gan Xin Jie of Penang (1:15.36s).....
