KUALA LUMPUR, May 23 (Bernama) -- Malaysia's rhythmic gymnastics squad is aiming for one gold medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland this July, which will be a repeat of its achievement in the previous edition.

Malaysian Gymnastics Federation (MGF) A. Razak Mat Amin said the target was realistic based on the squad's excellence in several championships and achievement in India during the 10th Commonwealth Games.

Some 11 national gymnasts would represent the country in two categories, including two athletes in the men's artistic gymnastics event, six athletes in the women's artistic gymnastics and three rhythmic gymnastics, he told Bernama here today.

He said they would be leaving for China to undergo intensive training soon before proceeding to Scotland.
