FA Cup: Mohd Fahmy Keeps Mum About Invading Pitch

Last update: 09/05/2014
KUALA LUMPUR, May 9 (Bernama) -- Johor Football Association (PBNJ) honorary secretary Mohd Fahmy Yahya declined comment on the possible action to be taken against him by the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) for invading the pitch in the first leg semi-final FA Cup match between Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) and Pahang at the Tan Sri Hassan Yunos Stadium in Larkin on Monday.

He refused to be dragged in further on the matter as FAM regulations stipulate only official match officers are allowed on the field during a match.

"I have no comments on the issue...please find other issues more important to the development of local football to report," Mohd Fahmy told Bernama.

FAM secretary-general, Datuk Hamidin Mohd Amin had said the association had not decided on any form of charges against Mohd Fahmy as the initial investigations on the incident were still in progress.

"At the moment, we have not made any decision on the issue...we will keep the media informed," he said.....
