KUALA LUMPUR, May 9 (Bernama) -- Perlis men's football coach, Yusri Che Lah has defended his decision in wanting the state team to be placed in Group A with defending champions Sabah in the upcoming Malaysia Games (Sukma) which will be held in the state from June 24 to May 4.
The former national player said his team should not be afraid to face anyone in the football competition to be held at UiTM Perlis in Arau.
Yusri also reckoned that his side had a brighter chance to move into the next round if they were drawn in group A which comprises of four teams rather than group B or D which only have three teams competing.
"Playing in a three-team group is even more risky as there are not enough points to be won.
"It is a calculated risk to be playing in Group A against the defending champions but I think that if we want to be winners, we should be able to play against anyone," he said in the statement here today.....
