KUALA LUMPUR, May 9 (Bernama) -- Football fan clubs in the country want the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) and police to take firm action against anyone who creates commotions during matches.
Fans were unanimous in calling for such action to curb violence among supporters who turned rowdy during football matches.
Negeri Sembilan e-Supporters Club deputy president, Mohd Fidzul Mohd Noh said the spate of football hooliganism would continue if no stern action was taken.
"I noticed that even when an individual who threw firecrackers into the pitch was caught, police and FAM were only seen giving warnings and were sympathetic to them when they should be firm in enforcing the law," he told Bernama today.
Meanwhile, Johor Fan Club president, Azman Jalil said FAM should engage all fan clubs to control their supporters and not meted out punishment arbitrarily.....
