KUANTAN, May 4 (Bernama) -- The national hockey team players were urged to work on their weaknesses in the next three weeks before facing the World Cup at The Hague, Holland at the end of the month.

Malaysian Hockey Confederation (MHC) president Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah said the national team was not at its best and there were still weaknesses to be ironed out before the championship on May 31 to June 15.

"Our team is not yet 100 percent steady and I did mention it to the coach for us to spruce up the team before going to the World Cup.

"Nevertheless, what can be seen is that the spirit of the team is strong (during the Champions Challenge Cup 1 Hockey Championship), that is something positive and I am proud of it," he said.

He said this to reporters after opening a hockey coaching and umpiring seminar here, Sunday.....
