KUALA LUMPUR, May 4 (Bernama) -- National Moto2 racer Hafizh Syahrin Abdullah only managed to record the 26th fastest time of 1:45.386s at the World Motorcycle Grand Prix Championship (MotoGP) qualifying session in Jerez, Spain.
The Petronas Raceline Malaysia racer failed to repeat his achievement of starting the race from 17th on the grid at the Argentina Grand Prix (MotoGP) at the Termes de Rio Hondo Circuit.
"The qualifying session today was rather difficult, the gaps between the racers were also so close. The hot weather also made it difficult for me to do a better time.
"The hot weather also reduced the traction of my tyres with the surface of the circuit and I almost fell several times while trying to go faster," he said in a statement Sunday.
Meanwhile, Moto2 racer Azlan Shah Kamaruzaman failed to show his best performance after he was involved in an accident which placed him 31st on the grid in the last race.....
