KUALA LUMPUR, May 4 (Bernama) -- Malaysian Moto3 rider Hafiq Azmi of SIC-Ajo Team will start from the eleventh row of the grid at the Spanish Grand Prix in Jerez Circuit.
He attempts to repeat his comeback triumph in Argentina where he gained 14 places from the tenth row in the final race, starting at 5pm local time (11pm Malaysian time).
"Today was a difficult day for me. I'd missed practically two practice sessions this weekend, one through the crash yesterday and the other through a mechanical fault.
"I also have a pain in my leg because of my fall yesterday. In any case, the bike is working very well and we just have to find the right pace and improve a few things with the set-up in the warm-up," he said in the statement today.
After missing much of the third free practice session due to a mechanical glitch, the rider set his best time at Jerez in qualifying to take the 32nd spot on the grid, an eleventh row start after clocking 1:48.513.....
