Humble Muhammad Shahril Declines To Claim Credit

KUANTAN, May 2 (Bernama) -- Despite contributing four goals for the country at the Champions Challenge 1 hockey tournament, newcomer Muhammad Shahril Saabah declined to claim credit for his scoring prowess.

Muhammad Shahril is being touted as a replacement for penalty corner specialist Muhammad Razie Abdul Rahim at the ongoing tournament.

The 20-year-old player said he was still new and was not qualified to be compared with Muhammad Razie who was far more experienced and sharper in executing penalty strokes.

"There is still much more for me to learn and it will be a long time before I can be called a specialist and I am certainly not in the same league as Muhammad Razie," he told Bernama Friday.

Muhammad Shahril said nonetheless he would work hard to build a career as a professional hockey player and he looked up to the senior players like his elder brother for his guidance.....
