SHAH ALAM, April 29 (Bernama) -- The 2014 Sultan Selangor Cup which is an annual event that features a Selangor Selection against Singapore, has been scheduled for Sept 27.
Organising chairman Datuk Abdul Karim Munisar said apart from the main event, the curtain raiser will feature a friendly match between Malaysia and Singapore, comprising veteran legendary players of the past.
He added that the match which was initially scheduled at the Singapore Stadium had to be shifted to the Shah Alam Stadium due to lack of facilities in Singapore since the new Singapore stadium has yet to be completed.
Abdul Karim said the event was targetted to attract about 70,000 fans, both from Malaysia and Singapore.
"Apart from the matches on the field, a number of other activities will also be organised, especially for fans. We hope Selangor can retain the cup this year," he said.....
