KOTA KINABALU, April 27 (Bernama) -- KDM Malaysia, an association of the Kadazan, Dusun and Murut communities, will be launching its maiden KDM Football League starting in August with overall prize money of RM500,000.
KDM Malaysia president Datuk Peter Anthony said more than 20 teams from various districts in the interior of Sabah would be competing to become league champions and win the RM100,000 cash prize while the second placing prize was RM50,000 and third and fourth placings were RM20,000 and RM10,000 respectively.
"The FA Cup champions will take home RM50,000," he told a press conference here last night.
Peter said teams would not be charged participation fees but they would have to put up a RM5,000 deposit in case the team violated match regulations such as being shown the red card and being involved in brawls.
He said KDM would only allow five imported players who were not from KDM communities for each team but only three such players were allowed to be fielded at one match.....
