KUALA LUMPUR, April 26 (Bernama) -- Armed Forces cyclist Mohd Zamri Salleh made clear his intention of regaining his place in the National squad ahead of the 2014 Asian Confederation Cycling (ACC) championship by winning the National Grand Prix Final in Bukit Katil, Melaka, Saturday.
The National cyclist who was dropped from the Myanmar 2013 SEA Games squad in the last minute, clocked 4 hours 15 minutes and 45 seconds to complete the 167.2km race, and remind the selectors that he was a worthy candidate for the ACC 2014 in Astana, Kazakhstan, next month.
Mohd Zamri was also crowned the overall National GP 2013 champion after accumulating 44 points, beating Mohd Shahrul Mat Amin from TSG who managed 40 points while Nur Amirull Fakhruddin Mazuki was third with 39 points.
"I have never lost my desire to represent the national squad despite being dropped from the SEA Games squad in the last minute. I am ready to compete in international championships, including the ACC 2014.
"If given a chance, I am ready to shoulder the responsibility by giving 100 percent at the ACC 2014," he said in a statement released by the Malaysian National Cycling Federation (MNCF).....
