Mohd Fauzan Wins 2013 National GP Finale In Melaka

KUALA LUMPUR, April 25 (Bernama) -- National elite rider, Mohd Fauzan Ahmad Lutfi won the individual time trial event over 41.9 km at the 2013 National Grand Prix Finale in Melaka today.

Representing the Royal Malaysia Police, Mohd Fauzan beat his nearest challenger Mohd Nur Rizuan Zainal of the Malaysian Armed Forces in a time of 54 minutes 14.644 seconds compared to 55 minutes 36.360 seconds by Mohd Nur Rizuan.

According a Malaysian National Cycling Federation (MNCF) statement, Terengganu Cycling Team (TSG) rider, Mohd Nor Umardi Rosdi came in third place in 57 minutes 5.078 seconds.

With the victory, Mohd Fauzan qualified to compete in the 2014 Asian Cycling Championship (ACC) in Kazakhstan on May 21 and was also awarded the overall champion title with 60 points for taking part in three circuits namely the Perlis GP, Pahang GP and Melaka GP.

Mohd Nur Rizuan emerged runner-up with 51 points followed by Mohd Nor Umardi in third place with 33 points.....
