Malaysian Trio Share 47th Spot In Malaysian Open

KUALA LUMPUR, April 20 (Bernama) -- Malaysian number one Nicholas Fung, Khor Kheng Hwai and the country's best amateur player Gavin Kyle Green, all finished tied 47th in the 2014 Maybank Malaysian Open.

The trio concluded their challenge at the jointly sanctioned US$2.75 million (about RM8.9 million) event held at the Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club in Bukit Kiara, after accumulating identical four-day total scores of one-over 289.

For their feat, they received US$12,375 (about RM40,100) each.

Among the three, Green emerged as the best Malaysian finisher for the second successive year at Malaysian Open despite struggling to discover his best form.

The 20-year-old University of New Mexico junior returned with a closing two-under 70.....
