JOHOR BAHARU, April 20 (Bernama)-- Johor Football Association President Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim clarified that the decision to replace two imported players - Baihakki Khaizan and Pablo Aimar - was made by former head coach Cesar Ferrando Jiminez before he was replaced by Bojan Hodak.
"The decision to replace Baihakki and Pablo Aimar was actually a decision made by Cesar and me when he was still the head of coach of Johor Darul Takzim (JDT).
"Baihakki is a good defender but for us to compete with foreign strikers from the opposing teams, we need a defender with vast international experience," said Tunku Ismail as posted on JDT's official website.
He said Cesar had suggested JDT needed a defender with greater physical ability.
"As for now, Pablo Aimar has not fully recovered from his injury and unable to contribute 100 per cent to the team," he said.....
