MNCF Plans To Send 18 Riders To Glasgow Commonwealth Games

KUALA LUMPUR, April 18 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian National Cycling Federation (MNCF) plans to send 18 riders to the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games in July.

Its president, Datuk Abu Samah Abdul Wahab said the list of riders and five officials will be submitted to the Olympic Council of Malaysia (OCM) soon.

"We plan to send 12 riders including two women for the track events while the others will compete in the road events," he told Bernama, here Friday.

Malaysia's medal hopes are pinned on Mohd Azizulhasni Awang and Josiah Ng in the men's track events while Fatihah Mustapa and Jupha Somnet will vie in the women's category.

Abu Samah said the MNCF would only announce the medal target at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games in Scotland after a meeting of the management team very soon.....
