KUALA LUMPUR, April 15 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Hockey Confederation (MHC) regards National Sports Council (NSC) director-general Datuk Seri Zolkples Embong's criticism with regard to representatives for the Commonwealth Games Managers' meeting as just a mere misunderstanding.
"There was confusion because MHC only sent a women's team manager for the meeting. However, it won't be an issue if only the women's team manager is given the green light to go because we are under the same umbrella," said MHC Honorary secretary Datuk Mohd Johari Abdul Aziz when contacted by Bernama, here today.
The setting of MHC was in line with the requirement of the Federation International Hockey (FIH) which recommends all governing bodies (men's and women's associations of a country) to be under one body.
During the Commonwealth Games Managers' meeting yesterday, Zolkples had chided the MHC for sending only the women's team manager.
Zolkples was also disappointed with the Malaysian National Cycling Federation (MNCF) for not sending a representative to the meeting.....
