KUALA LUMPUR, April 14 (Bernama) -- Malaysian professional golfer Nicholas Fung will be on a personal mission at the Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club (KLGCC) when the 2014 Maybank Malaysian Open (MMO) tees off this Thursday.
"Of course, as a Malaysian I do want to win the competition but I don't want to force myself to think about winning the tournament yet. I just want to keep a positive mindset and hope for a good week.
"We all (Malaysian players competing) want to win but I don't think we feel that much pressure," Fung said when met in Kuala Lumpur, Monday.
The 23-year-old will be among 22 Malaysians in the elite field this week which will be headlined by former MMO champions Lee Westwood of England, Louis Oosthuizen of South Africa, Arjun Atwal of India and defending champion Kiradech Aphibarnrat of Thailand.
This year marks his fifth year competing in the prestigous competition as a professional golfer.....
