KOTA BAHARU, April 8 (Bernama) -- Kelantan failed to capitalise on the home ground advantage when they were beaten 2-3 by the football club, Yangon United from Myanmar in a Group G match of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Cup at the Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium, here Tuesday night.
Kelantan had to play without their imported striker Mohamad Ghaddar due to injury and were shocked by an early goal in the 24th minute when a low ball from Cezar Augusto Hermenegildo beat goalie Khairul Fahmi Che Mat.
In the second half, Kelantan tightened their attacks which enabled them to equalise in the 49th minute through a shot taken by Mohd Khairul Izuan Rosli from outside the penalty box which beat Yangon United's goalie Pyae Phyo Oo.
The homesters then led the visitors in the 54th minute when Wan Zaharul Nizam Zakaria's shot found the net.
However, Kelantan's joy was short-lived as Yangon United's counter-attack in the 64th minute resulted in a goal by Emerson Reis Luiz, and Kyaw Ko Ko then scored the winning goal for the visitors in the 80th minute.....
