17th Sukma Infrastructure, Facilities Safe: Perlis MB

KANGAR, April 5 (Bernama) -- Perlis Menteri Besar Azlan Man has given an assurance that the infrastructure and facilities for the 17th Malaysian Games (Sukma) are prepared according to specifications and therefore safe.

He said the state government would not compromise on athlete and public safety in completing the project according to schedule.

"There is no change in the scope of work and specifications in our bid to complete the facilities before the start of the biennial games on May 24.

"InsyaAllah the facilities are safe to use," he told reporters after witnessing the handing over of the boxing ring, tennis court, and hostel and state sports council (MSN) office by the public works department which is the project implementation agency, to the MSN here yesterday.

Perlis Public Works director Ir Azizan Abdul Rahman handed the key replica of the three facilities costing RM12 million to MSN director Muhd Azahari Ramli.....
