Rio In Mind, If No Injuries, Says Chong Wei

NEW DELHI, April 4 (Bernama) -- Malaysia's ace shuttler, Datuk Lee Chong Wei has reiterated he would work towards the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, barring any injury this year.

"If I finish all my big competitions this year without any injury, I will go for Rio 2016," he said.

Chong Wei has hinted previously, that he intended to retire after the Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea, which will be held from Sept 19 until Oct 4.

Before the Asiad, he will compete in the Thomas Cup Finals in New Delhi next month, Commonwealth Games in Scotland (July 23-Aug 3) and World Championships in Denmark (Aug 25-31).

"My wife understands and supports my career and I will try my level best," he said.....
