KUALA TERENGGANU, April 1 (Bernama) -- The Terengganu state government through the state Tourism and Culture Council will be organising the Kapas-Marang International Swimathon 2014 on April 20.
Terengganu Tourism senior manager Ishamudin Hashim said the 15th edition of the annual event would see participation from local and foreign competitors.
"We are expecting participants from more than 20 countries this year. The event features a 6.5km swim from Pulau Kapas to the Kelulut beach, Marang on the mainland," he said.
Among categories to be contested are men's/women's junior (12-19 years), men's open (20-34 years), men's senior open (35-49 years), veteran open (50 and above), women's open (20 and above), men's and women's closed and overall men's and women's events.
