KUALA LUMPUR, March 24 (Bernama) -- Penang gunned down Police from the top of the Premier League table after beating Kedah 1-0 at the City Stadium, here tonight.
The only goal of the match was scored by South Korean import Lee Kwang-Hyun who headed in a cross in the 56th minute to ensure his team collect all three points in front of their home fans.
The win, the seventh in their Premier League campaign, gave Penang, coached by K. Devan, 22 points and helped demote Police to second place (20 points).
Kedah who started the match in fifth spot had only themselves to blame for not being able to mount a fight back as Mohd Fakhrul Radzi Yaacob was given the marching order by the referee in the 72nd minute for a second bookable offence.
Police who were leading the standings before the start of the match were held to a 2-2 draw by Negeri Sembilan at the Majlis Bandaraya Petaling Jaya Stadium in Kelana Jaya.....
