KUALA LUMPUR, March 24 (Bernama) -- Former treble winners Kelantan have roped in three new players to beef up the squad that is currently third in the Super League standing.
The three are international Wan Zack Haikal, 23, who had a stint with Japanese club Rukyu FC but currently recovering from an 'Anterior Cruciate Ligament' (ACL) injury, international Fitri Omar who played for Armed Forces and Brendan Gan who played for Sydney FC in the Australian League.
Kelantan Football Association (KAFA) advisor Tan Sri Annuar Musa when introducing the players here today said the three players had gone through a unique process before signing a three-year contract with Kelantan.
Apart from Haikal, Fitri who was the top scorer in the 2011 league season, joined Kelantan after a mutual termination of his contract with Armed Forces while Brendan who has a Malaysian resident status was signed based on his record in the Australian league with Sydney FC which emerged champion in 2011.
"Though Haikal is with Kelantan now, we will not rush him into playing because we want him to fully recover from his injury. We have given him the option to choose when he is ready for action," he told reporters here today.....
