PETALING JAYA, March 24 (Bernama) -- Two rugby legends - former captain of the All Blacks, Sean Fitzpatrick and former 80's South African player, Morne du Plessis, held a rugby clinic for students around Klang Valley, here, Monday.
The 30-minute clinic organised by the Yayasan Rakyat 1Malaysia (YR1M) at the Dataran Petaling Jaya here was attended by more than 100 students aged between 12 to 19 around Klang Valley, where they were taught about the basic skills in rugby.
Speaking to reporters after the clinic, Fitzpatrick who is also the Vice Chairman of the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation said, he was very excited to see the enthusiasm shown by the young participants during the short period of the clinic session.
"This was a wonderful day and perfect example of what Laureus is about because this is the first time we have held the session in Malaysia and it is a great chance to share moments like this with the enthusiastic young players.
"What I love about the young players is when they are enjoying their time because it is important for the kids to start playing rugby at a young age," he told reporters after the clinics, here, today.....
