Pandelela Pledges To Do Her Best Tomorrow

KUCHING, March 21 (Bernama) -- "I will just focus on my dives as it will be tough to beat China's Liu Huixia, said Pandelela Rinong, ahead of her 10m platform individual event in the second leg, FINA Diving World Series 2014 at Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Sport Complex in Dubai tomorrow.

Diving queen Pandela who won the silver medal in the first leg in Beijing last weekend said she will do her best to improve her dives and retain the silver medal.

"I am just hopeful and if I win the gold medal tomorrow, it will be a bonus to me," she told Bernama from Dubai today.

Liu, who 2012 London Olympic gold medallist in synchronised platform, bagged the gold medal with 412.90 points while Great Britain's Tonia Couch settled for the bronze after scoring 357.90 points in the first leg in Beijing.

Pandelela yesterday partnered Leong Mun Yee to clinch the silver medal after accumulating 314.64 points in the women's 10m synchronised platform.....
