IPOH, March 16 (Bernama) -- Defending champions Australia continued their supremacy by defeating Canada 6-0 for their second win at the 23rd Sultan Azlan Shah Cup Hockey Tournament at the Azlan Shah Stadium here today.

"Canada were a very hardworking side, and they were desperate and determined. These made it much harder for us. Our players were tired as the match progressed and made many errors.

"We should have tidied up much better and I would have liked us to have gotten more corners," said Australian coach Ric Charlesworth.

The "Kookaburras" were in commanding form as they opened scoring in the 10th minute through a field goal by Glenn Simpson.

Jeremy Hayward's flick from the penalty corner in the 26th minute found the net on the far left to make the score 2-0 before Nicholas Budgeon put them ahead 3-0 through a solo effort.....
