KUALA LUMPUR, March 13 (Bernama) -- Malaysia's first female pro mixed martial arts exponent (MMA) Ann Osman expressed optimism of winning the One FC "War of Nations" even though she remains under pressure when competing on home soil.
Ann will face top Singaporean WMMA Prospect Sherilyn Lim at the Stadium Negara on Friday in the challenge that also features 20 other fighters.
"Definitely I am under a little bit of pressure because all eyes will be on me. I have to keep calm and be focused on winning because I am well-prepared physically and mentally," she said at the One FC "War of Nations" weighing-in, here Thursday.
Ann said they (Ann and coaches) have been working hard on improving her performance by analyzing the first fight on video to look at where things needed to be adjusted and improved.
"I have been undergoing intensive training for about six weeks before the championship. I am more of an all-rounder but I am comfortable with striking and grappling. I have a heavy hand and good at knock-out punches too," she said.....
