KUALA LUMPUR, March 8 (Bernama) -- The International Sepaktakraw Federation (ISTAF) Super Series 2013/14 finals will see Malaysia and Thailand fighting it out in both the men and women's teams at Titiwangsa Indoor Stadium, Kuala Lumpur, tomorrow.
In the semi-final against Brunei today, the national men's team lined by Syahir Rosdi, Muqlis Borhan, Hanafiah Dolah and Age Khairol sailed through with 15-8, 15-8 and 15-8 to cap it at 3-0.
Though aware of the Thai team's prowess, national takraw coach Jamaluddin Hassan remained confident in his men's ability to put up a strong resistance against the opposing team.
"If you look at the players' performance, you can judge that they have improved from one match to another. Even though Thailand is pitching its third doubles we cannot underestimate them because they are experienced players, their serve is also very strong.
"I feel the national team must improve in their ball control but in terms of serving, they have no problem. I applaud our players. Although they are young and competing for the first time they are very enthusiastic and not nervous at all.....
