KUALA LUMPUR, March 7 (Bernama) -- Project 2016 squad coach, Arul Selvaraj has called on hockey clubs to speed up the release of players involved in the project as time is running out for its training programme.
Selvaraj, who is also the national hockey squad's assistant coach, said he hoped to meet the project squad's players at least three days in a week.
"I will meet the players from Monday to Wednesday each week at specific times and I hope clubs will release them to undergo training with the Project 2016 squad.
"They are only carrying out light training as we do not want them to be injured, more so when they are playing for their respective clubs," he told a media conference to announce the list of players for the squad here today.
Twenty five players have been shortlisted for the Project 2016 squad in preparation for the 2016 Junior World Cup in India.....
