KUALA LUMPUR, March 7 (Bernama) -- The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) has allowed two senior players from state teams to play in the under-21 President Cup preliminary round.

FAM vice-president, Datuk Afandi Hamzah said the decision would be effective immediately to give opportunities to the senior players who were not fielded in Malaysian League matches.

"We have considered various aspects when we found there were two senior players not featured in Malaysia League matches.

"Nonetheless, the senior players would have to adhere to the period set in the circular for the President Cup competition," he told reporters after chairing FAM's Local Competitions Committee meeting at Wisma FAM in Kelana Jaya here.

In another development, Afandi said the second registration window for local players for the FAM League would be from March 23 to April 21 while the window for imported players will be from March 23 to April 19.....
