Bos Claims Fifth LTdL Victory After Stage Eight Win

MARANG, March 6 (Bernama) -- Holland's Theo Bos underlined his dominance by chalking up his third stage win and fifth Le Tour de Langkawi (LTdL) victory after claiming Stage Eight Thursday.

Bos of Belkin-Pro Cycling Team won another crash marred sprint ahead of Italian Andrea Guardini (Astana Pro Team) and Kenny van Hummel (Androni Giocattoli-Venuzuela).

His teammates once again ensured his charge to victory by ensuring he remained in a perfect position to mount his sprint to the finish line of the 202.2km race from Kuantan to Marang with a time of 5 hours, 01 minutes and 58 seconds.

"At about 2km to go, there was a big crash. I was on the outside, I saw it happening and moved a little bit to the right. I nearly went down but I was so lucky not to.

"Graeme Brown saw it and waited and I came back. It was a bit of a hard effort and later I waited for a while and then we went," he said.....
