PETALING JAYA, Feb 28 (Bernama) -- Datuk Ong Kim Swee hopes Malaysia will get a positive result against the Philippines in a friendly match at Selayang Municipal Stadium tomorrow night.
A positive result will boost the morale of the national squad who will face Yemen in the final 2015 Asian Cup qualifier in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) four days later.
"Our players must exhibit a more aggressive style of play," the temporary head coach told reporters after attending a team managers meeting at Wisma FAM in Kelana Jaya, here today.
He reminded the players not to underestimate the Philippines (Azkals) squad although Malaysia (Harimau Malaya) has an impressive record against them.
"The Philippines is ranked 127th in the world and had qualified for AFF Suzuki Cup semi-finals twice in a row. This team is not easy to beat," said Ong, who is also head coach of the Under 23 squad (Harimau Muda A).....
