Bolt, Ronaldo, Vettel Nominated For 2014 Laureus World Sportsman Award

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 26 (Bernama) -- The greatest sprinter in the world Usain Bolt, Portugal's multi-award winning footballer Cristiano Ronaldo and Formula One champion Sebastian Vettel are among front runners for the 2014 Laureus World Sportsman award.

Also nominated are Britain's long distance ace Mo Farah, tennis world number one Rafel Nadal and Lebron James of United State in basketball.

Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt, could be celebrating a record-equalling fourth Laureus world sportsman of the year award after having won all three sprint events in the World Championships in Moscow.

Up against him will be Germany's remarkable Sebastian Vettel, who won his fourth straight Formula One World Championship and charismatic soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo who scored 69 goals for Real Madrid and Portugal in 2013.

There is a familiar look to the nominations for Laureus World Sportswoman of the year with United State's swimmer Missy Farnklin, Shelly Ann Fraser Pryce and Serena Williams nominated for the second year.....
