NSC Ready To Open Wangsa Maju Sports Complex To Public

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 24 (Bernama) -- The National Sports Council (NSC) plans to open the Sports Complex in Section 5, Wangsa Maju here to the public, soon.

NSC public relations officer Mohd Fahmi Omar said the NSC need to settle several technical problems first before the facility could be opened to the public.

"Although, the complex will be opened to the public soon, the NSC will still use it for the athletes if there was a need as it was build for national athletes," he said when contacted by Bernama today.

He said the complex had high performance sport facilities such as an Olympic-sized swimming pool, track for athletics, badminton courts, football field and pavilion.

The media, prior to this, reported that several quarters, including local residents, had urged the sports complex to be opened for public as they did not have a place or hall for their leisure activities.....
