KUALA TERENGGANU, Feb 23 (Bernama) -- The hot and humid weather can tilt the title chase in favour of local riders when the Le Tour de Langkawi (LTdL) 2014 sets sail next week.
LTdL Chief Operating Officer Emir Abdul Jalal said since local riders are familiar with the prevailing hot and humid weather conditions, they should be able to hold their own against the foreign riders.
He said local riders must use the advantage fully to compete and finish among the top international riders.
"Since the local riders are familiar with the routes and weather conditions, they should be able to match their foreign counterparts and give them a run for their money," he told reporters at a ceremony to introduce Terengganu riders.
In the ceremony, the Terengganu state government handed a sponsorship cheque for RM1.5 million, as the main sponsor of the three last stages of the LTdL.....
