KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 17 (Bernama) -- The Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Referees Committee has yet to receive an official complaint from the Football Association of Sarawak over an alleged incident involving a match official during a Super League match between Sarawak and Perak in Kuching last Saturday.
A local daily had reported that Sarawak will be sending an official complaint to the FAM, claiming match referee Sukri Abdul Rahman had used vulgar words against Sarawak player Joseph Kalang Tie, after the match at the State Stadium in Kuching, last Saturday.
FAM Referees Committee chairman Datuk Astaman Abdul Aziz said since the FAM has yet to receive any complaint from Sarawak, the governing body for football in the country, cannot take any action based on newspaper reports.
"We can only act or take action after receiving an official complaint. Even then, we will carry out an investigation before if there is a case," he told Bernama when contacted Monday.
Astaman said the Match Commissioner who oversees every match would also monitor the activities and quality of refereeing in a match and submit a report on their performance.....
