PETALING JAYA, Feb 11 (Bernama) -- The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) will launch an anti-violence campaign to combat football hooliganism which has been getting out of hand recently.
FAM secretary-general Datuk Hamidin Mohd Amin said the campaign would be launched soon to ensure the M-League was safe for spectators.
Hamidin also sought the cooperation of all interested parties, including state football associations, team officials, players as well as supporters to ensure the success of the campaign.
"FAM is cooperating with the authorities to ensure we nip this social ill at the bud and curb such provocation at social websites," he told reporters after announcing the 2014 FAM-Felda Futsal championships at Wisma FAM in Kelana Jaya here today.
He said football hooliganism had received the attention of FAM top management, including president Sultan Ahmad Shah and deputy president, Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah.....
