KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 10 (Bernama) -- With the 2014 Moto2 World Championship season fast approaching the starting grid, Malaysian Moto2 ace Hafizh Syahrin Abdullah is itching for action, especially the pre-season official testing in Valencia, Spain, on Tuesday.
The rider from Petronas Raceline Malaysia who managed to carve a name for himself in a number of Moto2 races albeit on a wildcard ticket, especially the CEV-Repsol in Spain, last season would start the ride on the world stage throughout the season.
"We have just acquired a Moto2 Kalex 2014 bike last week and there is much work and testing to be done before the first race in Qatar. The whole team is working very hard to ensure the bike will be in top condition during pre-season training," said Petronas Raceline Malaysia in a statement, today.
"There is much to learn this year since most of the riders have been racing for more than three years compared with Hafizh. There are more experienced and familiar with the circuits around the world and that will be an advantage for them."
However, with the support of the crew and management team, Hafizh has the ability to close the gap.
"Racing a full season is not an easy task but I will work hard to be among the top 20 riders. It will be a long season with 19 races and it will not be impossible to pull off a surprise or two," said Hafizh in the statement.....
