Boys From Brazil Help Selangor To 2-0 Win Over Harimau Muda C

PETALING JAYA, Jan 22 (Bernama) - Two Brazilian players helped Selangor to a 2-0 win over Harimau Muda C in a first round FA Cup match at Petaling Jaya City Council Stadium, here today.

With the win, Selangor will accompany Kedah, Sarawak, Lions XII, Terengganu, T-Team, Perlis, Police, Penang Water Corporation, Pahang, Sabah, Selangor PKNS FC, Sime Darby FC and Felda United in the second round.

The Selangor-Harimau Muda C match was evenly contested but both teams failed to any headway early in the game.

After a scoreless first half, Selangor broke the deadlock when Brazilian striker Paulo Rangel opened scoring in the 51st minute.

Not to be outdone, the other Brazilian, midfielder Junior Aparecido wrapped up the game for Selangor when he scored the second goal in the 72nd minute.....
