Kiradech To Lead Asian Young Guns In Inaugural Eurasia Cup

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 22 (Bernama) -- The 2013 Malaysian Golf Open champion, Kiradech Aphibarnrat are among four talented young guns who will represent Team Asia at the inaugural EurAsia Cup which will tee-off from March 27-29 at Glenmarie Golf and Country Club, Shah Alam.

The burly Thai who was recently crowned Asian Tour champion will be joined by three others; Siddikur Rahman of Bangladesh, Anirban Lahiri and Gaganjeet Bhullar of India.

Team Asia captain Thongchai Jaidee of Thailand was delighted that the three golfers have qualified for the tournament and was confident they would rise to the occasion to beat Team Europe.

"All four players are in their 20s and they have proven themselves to be the new flagbearers for the Asian Tour.

"It has been exciting to see how they have developed into world class players with their high level of consistency and performance. I know I can rely upon them to deliver the points against Europe," he said in a statement issued by the organiser, DRB-Hicom Berhad, Wednesday.....
