Malaysian Hockey Confederation (MHC) senior vice-president Datuk Nur Azmi Ahmad said the appointment of Muhammad Dharmaraj was approved by MHC president Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah who met Revington and the players yesterday.

"K. Gobinathan and Nor Azlan Bakar will assist Muhammad Dharmaraj while Selvaraj who was assistant to Revington was appointed as head coach of the junior squad," he told reporters at a press conference, here today.

Nur Azmi said MHC agreed to Muhammad Dharmaraj's appointment as they were unable to find a foreign coach to prepare the national squad for the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup in Perak in March.

Revington, who was present at the press conference claimed he needed to fight the onset of a stress related illness which he suffered since taking over as head coach of the senior squad in June last year.....
