Muhammad Ziyad Satisfied With Own Performance At Asean Para Games

NAYPYITAW, Jan 19 (Bernama) -- National paralympian Muhammad Ziyad Zolkefli today said that he was satisfied with his performance and the two gold and one silver medals he bagged at the 7th Asean Para Games here Sunday.

"I'm really satisfied with my own performance throughout the games. I have bagged two gold and one silver medals.

"I also managed to break my personal records in three events, namely shot put, javelin and disc throw," the 23-year-old F20 athlete told Bernama.

In the final day of athletic events today, Muhammad Ziyad won the gold medal in his favourite shot put event, throwing a distance of 15.69 metres, hence breaking the record of 15.32 metres he made at the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Athletics World Championships in Lyon, France last year.

"I think I have also manage to break both the national and the games records in the three events," he said.....
