JOHOR BAHARU, Jan 19 (Bernama) -- Despite the limelight focusing on them, Super League team Johor Darul Takzim (JDT) does not feel pressured to win any championship this season.
Tunku Mahkota of Johor (TMJ) Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim, who is also Johor Football Association (PBNJ) president, said on the contrary, the pressure should be felt by Pahang, who are holders of the Malaysia Cup; Kelantan (FA Cup) and Lions XII (Super League).
"All eyes should be on them, as champions. We have no pressure because our effort and investment (to strengthen the team) is a five-year project.
"We are not hoping for instant success. What PBNJ is doing to JDT is a long- term investment," he told reporters at a media conference here Sunday.
In their first match this season against Perak yesterday, JDT won 2-0, through Amri Yahyah and Luciano Figueroa.....
