KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 15 (Bernama) -- The Olympic Council of Malaysia (OCM) has advised former Kuala Lumpur player, Fadhullah Yunfisar to appoint a counsel to clear his name and settle a corruption issue involving him.

OCM secretary Datuk Sieh Kok Chi said the parent body, through its counsel, could only give their views, but did not have the power to change the decision of the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) Disciplinary Committee.

"The player can get the services of our lawyer but the issue is under the jurisdiction of FAM and the Kuala Lumpur Football Association. We can only advise," he said when contacted by Bernama Wednesday.

Sieh clarified that the OCM's counsel could only advise on the problem of indiscipline but for criminal cases like corruption, it was subject to the FAM.

The media yesterday reported that Fadhullah, who was suspended for life and fined RM20,000 by FAM on Dec 20, wished to take the case to OCM's Arbitration Council soon to clear his name.....
